International Experiences > Get Ready

The Study Programme Board (CCS) of Management Engineering has created a specific team, the Internationalization Commission, appointed for the evaluation, planning and validation procedures of the different mobility programmes, and that students can directly contact.

The Commission carries out its activities in collaboration with the International Mobility Unit, the office within Politecnico di Milano, responsible for international mobility programmes and that manage the administrative procedures in compliance with the guidelines of the School of Industrial and Information Engineering.

The International Mobility Unit annually manage the International Mobility Call process; students must refer to this office for further information on international exchange programs and application procedures. Furthermore, for additional clarifications, students should also consult the list of FAQs provided by the office as well.

In addition, the Internationalization Commission works together with the International Relations Office of the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, with whom has prepared a Guide to International Exchanges (available for download below) which explains how to plan your experience abroad.

Students who have been selected in the mobility call must:

  • Carefully read the guide, which is a prerequisite for the meeting with the supervisor
  • Prepare their mobility study plan and submit it to the academic supervisor responsible for the relevant geographical area/country for evaluation and approval, while completing the Online Learning Agreement through the OLA platform available via the Online Services portal;
  • Upon returning from the exchange programme, ensure that the International Mobility Unit has received the Transcript of Records from the host university so that the academic coordinator can proceed with the official recognition of the examinations taken, in accordance with the guidelines and grade conversion tables of the School of Industrial and Information Engineering.

Think International

What does it mean to Think International? The first step has to be a change in mindset, which we aim to bring about by giving students the chance to know and understand the intrinsic, long-term value of an international experience before they have to take the actual step of choosing among the many opportunities offered by the University.

It is never too soon to start thinking about it. And this is why these events have been organized by the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering for all Bachelor and Master of Science students, in collaboration with professors, students, alumni, and international partners: to help students think strategically with their mind open to the rest of the world, with curiosity and without any kind of prejudice.
