Description
Plenty of indicators for evaluating sustainability in food industry are proposed in literature.However, sustainability performance in short food supply chains (SFSC) is still unclear how to assess. It is important to investigate whether and how companies at multiple levels of different (long and short) FSCs can effectively apply sustainability performance measurement (SPM) in an environmental and social approach, how they are communicated, and how practical and simple methods can be developed to implement SPM along FSCs
Objectives
i) Investigate the indicators, measures or systems (if) implemented for SPM along multiple tiers in short and long FSC; ii) identify how is the performance evaluation data used and by whom, iii) investigate the methods and practices for SPM management and communication along food supply chains.
