The global coffee machine market is on its way to $17,73 billion. At the premium end of that market, where design, precision and performance converge, Dalla Corte has carved out a position that few can match. Part of the Franke Group since 2019, it builds high-performance professional espresso machines for baristas worldwide. In October 2025, it launched the Zero Plus, its new flagship machine, at HOST Exhibition in Milan. And with production capacity planned to double by 2030, what happens inside the factory in the next few years will define Dalla Corte’s ability to deliver on that ambition.

This project is about redesigning it from the ground up.

The challenge focuses on a full production plant layout redesign, analyzing the current state, modelling the future and planning the transition. You will start by mapping the existing production plant in terms of cycle times, production mix and capacity constraints, then move into demand and requirements analysis to understand what volumes and product configurations the new layout must support. From there, the work shifts to layout design & validation, translating data and insights into a new physical configuration for the plant. Finally, you will apply project management tools to design the actual implementation roadmap.

Two initiatives are already underway: a 90-degree rotation project and a semi-automated line layout project, giving you an evolving context to work within.

You will operate under the direct guidance of the Operations Manager, embedded in a young and hands-on team spanning Lean, Production, Procurement, Warehouse and Process Improvement. Flexibility, numerical attitude and a genuine Gemba spirit are prerequisites. So is an eye for sustainability; Dalla Corte has already achieved Carbon Neutral status on two flagship models through its PlaNet social responsibility program and that mindset shapes every decision on the shop floor.

If you want to design something that will physically exist, a factory that will produce thousands of premium espresso machines every year, this is your project.

Italian language skills are required for this opportunity.
