A very interesting project thesis (up to 4 points – thesis without discussant) is carried out in collaboration with a company leader worldwide in its industry that is greatly motivated in improving its Operations performances relying on Lean methodologies. The project at the company will be articulated in the following steps:

• mapping the as-is situation
• problem quantification
• target definition
• root-cause analysis and solutions proposals
• solutions implementation and check

The student will be involved in a company with a very innovative environment with highly motivated company tutors. The student will work as a consultant with the support of a mentor from the Lean Excellence Centre of Politecnico di Milano.

The company is available to start immediately or in the first weeks of April and the workload required is 3/4 days/week to finish the project at the end of July/first weeks of August – graduation in October (days and timeline are quite flexible according to student’s needs)

Part of the activities will be carried out at the company sites, in Milan, and Italian speaking language is required from the company. An additional requirement is to have attended Operations Management course.
