Sustainability represents currently one of the main source of innovation for companies. Traditional methods for measuring innovation are not necessarily applicable or appropriate to measure the appropriateness of sustainability oriented innovation. The thesis aims at identifying new approaches and new methods to assess the validity of sustainability oriented innovation.

The thesis will be realized through a structured literature review and the conduction of in depth case studies.
