Business-nonprofit collaborations (BNCs) are an increasingly central strategy to address sustainability challenges. Yet the dynamics that shape their evolution – why some deepen and endure while others weaken and dissolve – remain poorly understood. This Thesis aims to disentangle the factors that lead BNCs to deliver long-term value. After a preliminary literature review, the candidate will exploit an existing database of BNCs started by Italian listed enterprises in the 2017-22 period, applying econometric techniques to model the intensification, de-intensification, and survival of these collaborations across years. Mandatory requirements include an interest in the topic and willingness to apply quantitative methodologies. A very good BIE grade will be considered as a desirable requirement.
