The coffee sitting in your cup this morning was likely sealed inside a Goglio package. Founded in Milan in 1921, Goglio is one of the global leaders in flexible packaging systems, with €445 million in production value, 9 plants worldwide and customers like Lavazza, whose products alone account for 60% of the Cadorago plant’s output. At that scale, quality is not an aspiration: it is a contractual obligation.
This project is about raising the bar. The Cadorago plant has already reduced customer claims significantly, but reacting to problems after they occur is no longer enough. The goal is to shift from Root Cause Analysis to a fully preventive approach based on PFMEA, anticipating failures before they happen across the complete converting process: gravure printing, lamination, slitting and logistics. The student will identify Critical-to-Quality characteristics from the Voice of the Customer, deploy the PFMEA across each process step and build the KPI framework that will keep the system under control going forward.
The outputs will be adopted directly by the plant’s quality and operations teams.
If you want to take a quality methodology you studied in the classroom and deploy it for real, on a real production floor, for one of Italy’s most respected industrial manufacturers, this project is for you.
This project requires Italian language knowledge.
