Digital technologies have highly impacted every aspect of education, enabling innovative ways of delivering education. This kind of innovation has been particularly relevant for business schools and corporate academies, which developed specific strategies to train professionals and managers through digital technologies. However, the heterogeneity behind the strategic choices made by educational institutions is unclear and underexplored. The thesis aims at filling this gap by building a typology of the strategic approaches undertaken by business schools in the context of digital learning. The thesis relies on three pillars:
- Creating a snapshot of the literature on digital learning in business schools and corporate academies
- Collecting data on the strategic approach to digital learning in business schools by means of a survey co-designed with the research group
- Developing a typology of different strategies by describing and analysing the data collected from the survey
