Description: Recent research states that data analytics hold significant potential in improving environmental and social sustainability in supply chains. However, besides statistics, literature is scant on how this potential is actually put in place. One the other hand, despite supply chains in some industries demonstrate severe social impacts, the social component of sustainability is even less explored.
Objectives: This research aims to clarify the potential of blockchain on supply chain social sustainability, and to unfold implications to research, practice and policy-making.
Methodology: Conceptual framework development through literature review (Phase 1); Analysis of secondary materials including sustainability and modern slavery reports of companies list in Europe (Phase 2).

Note: The research is in collaboration with Cardiff Business School. Student(s) can opt for a period abroad in Cardiff Business School during the development of this thesis work.
