Informazioni tesi
Mitsubishi Electric, within its Factory Automation Division, is exploring the adoption and scale up of its B2B e-commerce platform. The objective is to develop and implement a pilot project for the Italian market and to assess the extension of the digital channel to Italian customers by analyzing potential adoption levels, usage behaviors, and the impact on sales processes and on the customer relationship.
The project aims to deliver a structured, operational analysis of the B2B e-commerce channel. In particular, the thesis will cover a state of the art analysis and an assessment of Mitsubishi Electric’s platform, a cost benefit analysis of the digital channel from both the customer and company perspectives, a segmentation of IDA customers to identify profiles suitable for a pilot project, the definition of adoption metrics, and the identification of operational and strategic levers that translate findings into actionable insights. The student will have access to real company datasets, including customer data, e-commerce usage data, historical order datasets, and web and website data.
The ideal candidate is interested in applied digital transformation in a B2B industrial context and has solid data analysis and modeling skills, statistical and or data driven. Familiarity with commercial and digital processes is expected, along with basic proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
The thesis can be carried out individually or in pairs.
