Egrocery is continuously growing, and retailers are searching for solutions to decrease their picking costs. Among the most promising alternatives, e-grocery retailers are exploring the use of automated solutions to assemble, storage and deliver online orders. The aim of this work is thus to identify and classify these solutions, mainly relying on: (i) analysis of the scientific literature, (ii) analysis of secondary sources, (iii) interviews to e-grocery retailers and/or technological providers, (iv) development of a classification framework, (v) evaluation of these solutions.
