This thesis aims to fill a gap in academic research by systematically analyzing grey literature—non-academic sources like industry reports, white papers, and practitioner guides—on family offices. Positioned at the intersection of family business studies and finance, this project seeks to gather benchmarking information for family office operations, governance, and performance. The research objectives include identifying common practices, emerging trends, and performance indicators. Methodologically, the study will employ content analysis to extract and categorize data from diverse grey literature sources, providing a comprehensive overview that complements existing academic research on family offices.
