Students of the “Invest in Foreign Markets” Lab among the best in the international “X-Culture” competition

The international X-Culture competition, which focuses on the discipline of international business, this year saw the participation of 5,377 students from 131 universities and 70 different countries, organised in 1,289 mixed teams by nationality.

As in every edition, the challenge requires students to work remotely for eight weeks on a real internationalisation project for Italian companies that have joined the X-Culture initiative.

The competition was attended by the 51 students of the “Invest in foreign markets” lab, where Prof. Stefano Elia is professor of the Master of Science in Management Engineering course.

The students were divided into international teams to work with colleagues from other foreign universities and at the end of the competition, among the 1289 participating teams, 11 were selected as “best teams”, among which 4 teams included students from the Politecnico di Milano.

The academic tutors – former students of the Master of Science in Management Engineering – Ludovico Benetel, Alessio Di Marco, together with Alibaba’s business tutors Virginia Vassallo and Aurora Mazzette, played a key role, providing valuable suggestions and support to the students throughout the competition.

Finally, three students – Federico D’Ovidio, Giacomo Viganò and Dario Vignoni – were invited to attend the Symposium, held this year from 7 to 13 July in Chiang Rai (Thailand), which was the final stage of the competition, where they were able to compete with their peers from other countries and international universities on consulting and internationalisation projects for Thai companies. Congratulations to all the students for their outstanding achievements!
