ABB E-mobility is the division of the ABB Group, counting 100000 employees worldwide, dedicated to electrifying mobility. With 1400+ employees, global headquarters in Switzerland and a state-of-the-art production facility in San Giovanni Valdarno (Arezzo), ABB E-mobility has built over 14 years of world firsts: from Europe’s first 50 kW charger to the world’s first live Truck Megawatt Charger. Their mission is unambiguous: electrify mobility with seamless, efficient, flexible, operated and sustainable charging solutions.

When communication is sparse and reactive, customer frustration grows. When historical systems are fragmented and logistics teams operate in local silos, end-to-end visibility simply does not exist. This is the starting point of this project, and the good news is that ABB E-mobility is changing everything: a new SAP S/4HANA implementation and a new global logistics function now open the opportunity to look at end-to-end flows, optimise overall processes and provide better services to customers.

The project consists of designing and developing one or more interactive dashboard(s)/map(s) that solve two problems simultaneously: providing shipment and transportation visibility to customers and colleagues and creating a strong data foundation to drive operational data-driven decision making.

The work follows a structured engineering approach in three phases: defining requirements through interviews with key stakeholders across the company, dashboard design with a focus on simplicity and user-friendliness and an iterative cycle of development, testing and improvement based on real customer feedback. The final deliverable is a set of interactive dashboards with a live map for tracking transportation and logistics flows; a tool ABB E-mobility will use on a daily basis.
